Applications are invited for the position of:
PC Lecturer-Researcher
As a PC Lecturer, AFDA is looking for a committed and dedicated professional to assist the Head of Production Course and Production Course Administrator with lecturing production course content across the undergraduate student body on the JHB campus; as well as produce artistic-academic research.
Key Areas of Competency:
- To undertake consistent research, in the form of papers submitted or action research (as part of professional work)
- Marking termly essays across all three-year groups
- Assist with moderation and arrangement of panels for final re-prod, final review and VALA panels.
- Assist with development of PC rubrics and assessment forms
- Assist in keeping of academic records and statutory requirements.
- Facilitating tutorials and Concept Pitch assessments.
- Track the progress of essay submission and registers; including management of registers and statistics.
- Help at-risk students with queries an academic development.
- Exceptional computer literacy (General MS Office, Google Office and similar is a must)
- Good command of written English and communication skills appropriate to interfacing with the general public, staff and students.
- Timetable scheduling.
- Deadline priority scheduling according to the timetable.
- General office management
