Starting with the award-winning luxury boutique hotel, MannaBay, we have begun creating luxurious properties across the continent’s key destinations. Having conquered the Cape, Rhino Africa is proud to announce the launch of our brand new development, Silvan Safari, opening in the Sabi Sands region in November 2017.

Johannesburg – Gauteng police on Sunday requested information on a third suspect sought in connection with the rape and armed robbery of a woman who boarded a taxi in Ridgeway earlier this year.
“The man who may assist the police was a driver of the vehicle,” said Colonel Lungelo Dlamini in a statement.
Three men are now sought in connection with the crime which took place in April 2017 when a woman boarded a mini-bus taxi from Ridgeway to Southdale.
She was then held up at gunpoint by one man and made to hand over her cellphone and bank card.
The taxi then stopped at an ATM and R1200 was withdrawn from her account.
“A second suspect also raped the victim while the vehicle was in motion.”
A team of detectives are working on several related cases across Gauteng and four men have been arrested in connection with these cases thus far.
In a separate incident in March this year in Florida, a woman was travelling in a mini-bus taxi with her son when she was robbed and raped.
“Her bank cards was later used by the suspects to purchase several goods including liquor.”
Anyone with information on the suspects may contact the investigation team leader, Captain Elon Bester on 079 890 7472 or Constable John Mokoena on 071 675 6166.
Anonymous information may be forwarded to Crime Stop. A potential reward for information is being offered.
Pretoria – The fact that Grace Mugabe received diplomatic immunity “is proof that our government’s political ties are more important than their own citizens”, says Debbie Engels, the mother of 20-year-old Gabrielle, who was allegedly assaulted by the Zimbabwean first lady.
The government announced in an extraordinary Government Gazette on Sunday that she had been granted diplomatic immunity. Gabriella, a Johannesburg model, was flabbergasted when she heard the news, Netwerk24 reported.
“I didn’t know,” she said, after letting out a long sigh. “I don’t want to comment any further.”
Debbie said: “I saw [it] on the news this morning when I got up.
“I’m upset, but I believe that Mugabe’s day will come.”
Mugabe is said to have assaulted Gabriella in the Capital 20 West Hotel in Sandton with an electric extension cord last Sunday.
According to Debbie, her daughter was introduced to Mugabe’s son, Bellarmine Chatunga, 20, on Saturday evening.
She doesn’t know Robert Jnr, 25, at all.

She denied claims that Gabrielle had been involved in a fight at a Sandton nightclub – Taboo – hours before the alleged altercation with Grace Mugabe.
“A friend of hers had [Saturday evening] had a fight with one of the Mugabe brothers’ girlfriends.”
Gabriella and her friend on Sunday evening went to visit one of Bellarmine’s friends in the hotel.
The Mugabe brothers were in the room next door. Gabriella and her friend were not with the Mugabes, but with their friend, Debbie said.
“When Gaby-and-them heard that the girl with whom her friend had had a fight was in the room next door, they said they weren’t staying.
“Bellarmine gave them the assurance that the girl wouldn’t come into their room and bother them. He then went back to his room.
A man then came and told Gabriella and her friend “to sit still”, after which Grace is said to have stormed in with the extension cord, Debbie said. She said the Mugabe brothers weren’t there at the time of the incident.
She did not want to elaborate.
JOHANNESBURG – The ANC is going for Derek Hanekom over comments he made in the lead-up to the motion of no confidence against President Jacob Zuma.
The party wants him to explain why he should not be removed as the ANC’s national disciplinary committee chairperson.
In a letter, Secretary General Gwede Mantashe says Hanekom’s public confirmation that he voted against President Zuma has jeopardised his role.
Hanekom has been vocal about his displeasure in Zuma’s leadership.
He’s led a charge within the ANC NEC to have him removed but failed twice.
He’s now being given 10 days to explain why he should remain the ANC’s DC chairperson.
On Sunday, Hanekom said his party must lead by example.

He was speaking at the United Democratic Front’s 34th birthday event in Cape Town.
“The ANC must be united for the right things. The ANC must be united in standing up against the wrong things. That is the kind of the ANC that the masses are looking for. Ordinary people are looking for the ANC that they can look up to. The ANC that will unite all the society not just itself. We’re looking for the ANC which will lead society. But to lead society we as leaders of the ANC have to be held at the highest regard.

Cape Town – A late second goal from Marcos Alonso cancelled out Michy Batshuayi’s own-goal as Chelsea beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Wembley on Sunday evening.
Tottenham almost began their Premier League stay at Wembley in nightmare fashion as Cesar Azpilicueta crossed in from the right-hand side to Alvaro Morata who was perfectly placed but somehow headed wide from seven yards out.
On the brink of the 20-minute mark, Mousa Dembele fired a solid effort from range that was just inches over the cross-bar.
Just a few minutes later, and Alonso opened the scoring in spectacular fashion as he curled in a beautiful free-kick with his left foot which beat Hugo Lloris to find the top-right corner.
Harry Kane almost levelled the score three minutes before half time as Dele Alli set him up in the box but his shot towards the far corner rattled the post and stayed out.
Ben Davies then came close as he smashed in a left-footed effort that Courtois parried away, while just two minutes later Eric Dier deflected Jan Vertonghen’s cross over the cross bar as Spurs went into half-time a goal down despite being the team with more momentum.
Spurs picked up where they left off in the second half and Kane came close to creating a goal for his side as he got down the right flank before back-heeling to Christian Eriksen but the midfielder’s effort was deflected out of play.
On the hour mark, Tottenham had a penalty appeal after Azpilicueta looked to have blocked Alli’s ball to Kane with the top of his arm but the referee saw nothing in it.
Against the run of play, Chelsea made a good break through Willian whose pace saw him go past three defenders before playing Morata in behind, whose shot was deflected wide.
Chelsea began pressing well and Willian found himself with some space before shooting from 20 yards out towards the bottom corner but only to hit the post.
As the game entered the last 10 minutes, an Eriksen free-kick on the left-hand side of the box saw substitute Michy Batshuayi header the ball into his own net, leaving Wembley to rise in celebration of the equaliser.
But just when it looked as if Spurs were back in the game, a poor piece of goalkeeping saw Alonso slide the ball underneath the Spurs keeper to score his brace and hand Chelsea the lead again.
Alonso’s two goals were enough for the reigning champions as Tottenham were left to rue their missed opportunities and continue their terrible form playing at Wembley.
JOHANNESBURG – The mother of a South African woman who was assaulted by Grace Mugabe says she feels let down by her own government.
Debbie Engels’ daughter was allegedly assaulted by Zimbabwe’s first lady in Sandton last Sunday.
South Africa has since granted Mugabe diplomatic immunity, and she left the country early this morning.
“In a way, we expected it because this government has proved time and again that their political allies are more important, they have confirmed that they rather keep peace than to protect their own citizens.”
