Job description
Boomtown is looking for a young dynamic media, marketing/advertising student to join our dynamic Immersions Team. We need a video/photography content creator intern who will assist with market research through on-the-ground market immersion ensuring delivery of relevant creative solutions, understanding the people who make up South Africa’s main market, and connecting your brand with their hearts and buying behaviours. We need such talent. Our video content creator will generate and create content by engaging consumers and different markets.
Responsibilities:
- To develop video/photography content from research engagements and immersions, in partnership with and under the guidance of the strategy and digital team.
- On the ground, in-situ and in-business environment interactions and recordings of consumers way of life.
- Supporting market researcher with interviews, assessments and in-trade engagements.
- Reviewing, editing and structuring of research video content into usable segments for presentation.
- Assist in translating video content into snippets of information that tells a consumer story.
- Work closely with designers to create and craft video and photography content based on research immersions and interactions.
- Assisting the digital team with content audits and recommendations.

Requirements
- Relevant diploma or degree in marketing or interactive media development
- Open and conversational – willing to interact and converse with consumers
- Displays in-depth knowledge of relevant social media platforms and their uses
- Creative thinker
- Quality orientation
- Deadline/target driven
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Working knowledge: All social platforms, Adobe software applications: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Flash
- Sound working knowledge: computer literate in the basic Programmes e.g. MS Office
