As the Product Development Analyst for Digiprocessing, You will be responsible for the Project Management and Business Analysis of any new application programming interface integrations, new system builds and/or new feature additions. You will need to manage the entire software development lifecycle process which includes product research, gathering requirements, concept flows, briefings, relevant stakeholder communication, integration and testing streams. In addition, you will be responsible for product documentation, professional communication with processors and clients and assisting with building our product knowledge base. This role reports to the Back Office Manager and will work closely with the Product, Development and Deployment teams.
Duties will include, but not limited to: Project Management of new product lifecycle: • Detailed project management of the entire new product lifecycle, including (but not limited to) the following: o Developing a good understanding of how the product works in order to liaise with various internal teams o Ensure that the team sources and reviews all integration documents from the processor o Ensure business requirements are understood o Compile a full brief to Dev team to commence integration o Constant communication with Dev team, QA team and the processor during integration, resolving queries and clearing any obstacles o Liaising with the legal banking administrator to ensure success on the contractual side o Draft detailed documentation on the product and communicate this to business o Ensuring these credentials are communicated to all relevant parties and updated into all relevant systems o Review QA sign-off documentation o Ensure clients and internal staff are aware of live dev releases o Conduct a full handover to the Deployments team to commence testing o Constant communication with the Deployments team during live testing o Escalating concerns in the process to the Banking Head and Product Manager
Workshops and Meetings: • Responsible for participating in regular and ad hoc meetings with various members of the Technology team in order to ensure requirements and priorities are understood: o Participating in weekly Backlog grooming sessions with Product Owner to clarify priorities for Day2Day board, Integrations board and Projects board o Participating in daily stand-ups to get latest updates on tasks and ensure teams are aware of urgent issues o Participating in workshops and project planning sessions as required for larger projects o Participating in monthly QA retrospective sessions to review staging and live testing of recent projects
Documentation: • Responsible for the process documentation function of new products, systems and features, including: o Business Case/Requirements document if required for larger projects o Initial development brief including: • API documentation • Project Scope and priority • Security and connectivity • Proposed Process flow • Data Flow • Validations and business rules • Sandbox environment details for testing • Live environment details for testing
? Dev Handover documentation ? Customer support documentation ? Monies Out documentation o Ensuring all documentation is of the highest standard and formatted according to exact requirements
Communication with processors: • Professional communication with new and existing processors in order to source information • Ensuring that the entire product lifecycle process (including legal, research, integration and testing) runs smoothly and that the processor is kept informed throughout • Continuous follow up with the processor throughout the product development lifecycle process where required to eliminate hold-ups
Product/System knowledge base and research: • Keeping abreast of new developments in the payments industry • Assisting with new product research including competitor research • Contacting new processors upon request in order to open up communications • Ensure the internal teams remains up to date with all new product, system or feature offerings • Ensuring the Dev team always have the latest processor API documentation available to them • Compiling and circulating the monthly Product and Deployments Roadmap to clients • Provide support to internal staff with regards to new product, system and feature queries • Provide product-related support to users of internal systems • Sharing knowledge with Internal teams on products, systems and feature
Requirements
• Business Analyst qualification • Minimum of 2 years working experience in a Product Owner / Business Analyst / Project Management role • Intermediate to Advanced Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills • South African Resident only
Advantageous
• Microsoft Visio experience • Working experience in a Banking product/E-commerce/online payments industry
