Duties:

• Script test cases
• Identify what to automate
• Determine the prerequisites
• Determine the test criteria
• Record the expected test results
• Script the test case
• Automation framework
• Design maintain the datasheets
• Design maintain the object repository
• Identify and develop new automated testing scenarios
• Assist the Senior Automation Analyst  in putting the power of automation into the hands of Test Analysts/Testers
• Setup test pre-requisites
• Identify test material required
• Obtain the necessary test material e.g. test data
• Periodically status updates
• To provide a status report on the agreed template frequently as agreed upon to all stakeholders (e.g. weekly, email status update)

Requirements:

• Formal automation tool training
• Relevant Degree or Diploma
• Minimum three to five years in software testing
• Knowledge of object orientated techniques and/or windows GUI objects
• Knowledge of the various SDLC models e.g. v-model and agile
• Understanding of the role of QA in the software development lifecycle
• Test Automation Planning and Strategizing
• Implementing automation frameworks

Exposure to:

• Designing automation frameworks
• Test tool knowledge and familiarity
• Software development skills
• Test tool evaluation
