Web development forms an integral part of our service offering. We provide web and online services to our clients ranging from setting up and maintaining simple WordPress sites to complex hand-coded websites with logins/registrations/databases/competitions, etc.

The web work we do is a good mixture of start-ups and corporate clients. Corporate work brings with it the build of complex sites where we need the skills of a confident PHP developer.

The role includes:

• Build of simple WordPress websites using Workflow and WP
• Build of complex websites including PHP, JavaScript, Jquery, CSS, HTML, etc.
• E-mail marketing campaigns, including designing of HTML templates
• Creating custom tabs in Facebook
• Promotion of websites online using Google Adwords, Facebook Ads and organically (a nice to have)
• Interacting with designers, other developers and team members
• Enhancing visual features on existing websites
• Debugging code errors
• Creating web campaigns for marketing (very advantageous if you have design skills)
• Testing website functionality across browsers and platforms
• Knowledge of email systems, hosting and encryption

Requirements

Diploma in multi-media; or degree in IT from reputable institution; or enough experience to show skill

Must be proficient in:

• PHP and building fully custom hand-coded sites
• HTML
• CSS
• Search engine optimisation
• JavaScript
• JQuery
• MYSQL
• Uploading website files to a variety of hosting platforms
• WordPress: working on existing templates and building new custom templates and sites
• Webflow (not essential)
• Adobe Illustrator for working with graphics
