This is a great opportunity for an analytical, results-driven Back-end Developer based in Johannesburg to work in an in-house ad agency for a renowned beverage company. You will work with team members to troubleshoot and improve the current back-end applications and processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyse codes and industry developments through your understanding of programming languages and tools whilst formulating efficient processes
• Solve problems and create a seamless experience for users
• Build better and more efficient programmes and user experiences
• Ensure the alignment of web design and user experience requirements
• Optimise web pages to work efficiently whilst upholding and maintaining brand consistency

Requirements

• Five+ years experience in Drupal 7 / 8
• Matric
• Certificate or tertiary qualification in web development, computer science or relevant field
• Scrum master qualification / similar
• Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery
• Understanding of serve side CSS
• Experience on Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Adobe XD
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design
• Understanding of SEO principle
• Knowledge in web analytics, SEO, UX and UI
• Knowledge in web infrastructure and hosting for Drupal developments such as Aquia
• Experience designing and implementing testing processes in platforms for automated QA
• Knowledge on Acquia Cloud Site Factory environment
• Understanding of key design principles
• Excellent communication, computer and project management skills
• Knowledgeable, collaborative and motivated
