Bookkeeping skills:
- Check and verify source documents such as invoices and statements.
- Allocate and post financial transaction details to the relevant ledger.
- Invoice clients.
- Reconcile and balance all job accounts.
- Maintain internal control systems.
- Maintain a complete filing system to support financial records.
Finance support skills:
Advanced working knowledge of Excel to update monthly client statistics and corresponding cash flows. Understanding of statistics to apply common sense to forecasting figures based on actuals and previous data.
Education and experience
- (Minimum three years’ experience)
- Knowledge of bookkeeping practices
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
- Working knowledge of relevant computer applications
- Advanced in Excel, Accpac would be advantageous
- Knowledge of data management and financial data analysis
- Bookkeeping certification
