About this job offer: 

Our client has a new vacancy for a bookkeeper/payroll officer. 

Key tasks: 

• Our candidate will be responsible for assisting in the bookkeeping function and payroll function
• Assist with processing multiple bank accounts, creditors, debtors, management accounts, preparing audit files
• Processing bank statements and petty cash 
• Reconciling cashbooks, creditors, debtors, general ledger maintenance 
• Processing journals, processing customer invoices 
• Capturing payments, monthly payroll  
• VAT submissions EMP submissions

Attributes, qualifications and skills:  

• Must have three to five years of experience in excel, creditors, recons, bank processing, Pastel Accounting and Pastel Payroll. 
• Professional, well spoken with strong interpersonal skills  Must be able to work independently and meet strict deadlines. 
• Tact and ability to maintain strict confidentiality  
• Self-accountable and initiative driven 
• Matric certification   
• Excel   

Salary offer: R25,000 as well as benefits and yearly bonus
