Job description
This position is perfect for someone that enjoys the idea of being both a brand manager working for one company as well as being part of an agency with the support of a team and exposure to other brands. We need a mature thinking individual that has two to five years experience as a brand manager or account executive in an agency environment. Digital marketing experience or qualification will be advantageous
Our client’s business is growing at a rapid rate and they need a brand manager that will understand their product range of industrial safety equipment, in order to grow brand awareness in the right target markets as well as identify and manage lead generating opportunities.
You need to be a strategic thinker with a proven track record that shows your ability to build brands in both traditional and digital platforms. The position requires that you spend time at our client’s branches each week (predominantly Durban, but will also require trips to Johannesburg) so you need to have strong organisational skills and the ability to use your own initiative. Our team at the agency will provide the skills and support you need to execute specialised functions, eg. design, website maintenance, online campaigns and SEO.
In addition to working on this one brand, you will also assist in the execution of other marketing activities for other brands within the agency.

- Although this is a contract position there is a strong possibility of it becoming permanent.

Requirements
Account management:
- Responsible for managing client account
- Brief agency team on design, campaigns, copywriting, online marketing, email marketing, website maintenance, etc. and ensure output
Marketing and media:
- Proactively propose new marketing ideas across traditional and digital channels
- Participate in writing marketing strategies that will achieve client business goals within budget
- Ability to identify marketing initiatives to grow brand awareness and drive leads
- Compile advertising plans, present to clients, manage bookings and arrange material
- Use LinkedIn to uncover lead opportunities. Grow connections and promote the product on behalf of the sales team
- Grow and manage client email database and identify email marketing opportunities
- Provide input into AdWords campaigns to achieve best resultsWork with distributors to leverage and add value to their marketing efforts
Shows/exhibitions:
- Identify show opportunities
- Manage bookings and liaise with show organisers
- Leverage off the event to ensure maximum ROI
- Plan and brief design and work with the team to ensure the brand is well represented
PR:
- Identify editorial/advertorial/blog opportunities in both online and print media
- Brief copywriter, photographers, videographers
Website:
- Brief dev team on changes and recommend improvements
- Guide and oversee ongoing SEO
Project planning and management:
- Outline tasks, allocate time and people required
- Manage jobs from inception to completion and ensure deadlines are met
- Write creative and campaign briefs
- Source and select well-matched suppliers per project
- Arrange quotes and obtain client approvals
Production:
- Manage print, video and photography production
- Ensure marketing material for the sales team is up to date and available
