Business Development Consultant – Oakhurst Insurance
This position will ideally suit an individual who has thorough knowledge of the Insurance broker and partner sales environment and / or knowledge of or experience in the Motor Industry in a sales or F&I position. Previous work experience with brokers will be advantageous.

Job Description:
- To create and solicit new business opportunities with key brokers and partners and maintain a healthy and professional relationship with both existing and new partners.
- Provide service to key relationships and support to the sales team.
- Plan, organize and implement brand awareness/ loyalty campaigns and communications.
- Compile comprehensive and detailed reports
Duties:
- Representing Oakhurst professionally at all times
- Servicing your area of responsibility as stipulated by management on a monthly basis and by doing so seeing as many of our existing brokers and new brokers as possible on a daily basis during working hours (as per agreed targets and focus areas set by management)
- To maintain a good relationship with existing brokers and partners and to build new relationships with brokers and partners
- To keep your database up to date on a monthly basis and be available on request
- Clear and concise reporting to be conducted to track & record outcomes of visits and business initiatives
- Proactively monitor competitions movements, strategies and initiatives to report back findings and work on possible countermeasures
Requirements:
- Matric certificate
- Task orientated, results focus and accountability
- Minimum of one years’ experience as a sales representative
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
- Self-starter that has the ability to execute action points quickly
- To maintain high professional standards at all times
- Presentation skills
- Structured and organized, ability to work independently
- A strong sales or call centre background will be advantageous
- Computer literacy, good knowledge of MS Office software package
