Job requirements :
– Valid drivers licence and own transport
– Relevant 3 year Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or a related field
– Minimum of 3 years Recruitment or Training and Development experience
– Advanced computer literacy essential
– Excellent administration, planning and time keeping skills
– Customer service orientation, high levels of energy and self motivation
– Highly effective communication and organisational skills
– Shown ability to manage work and self proactively
– Enjoy working, networking and building relationships with people
– Superior Presentation Skills
– Must be confident and outgoing
– Proven track record
– Must be approachable
Duties include :
Career Centre Marketing :
•Ensure sufficient students have registered and accessed the website on a regular basis by marketing the Career Centre website to students and Alumni
•Upload job opportunities into the website
•Source blogs for the website for career purposes
•Maintain contact with website members
•Host career evenings / afternoon for final year students and alumni
•Host part-time work expo for current students
•Host a career fair for students and alumni
•Host the career centre client appreciation breakfast for clients
Networking :
•Establish and maintain relations with all clients
•Ensure and enables clear and open communication between the clients and the Career Centre
•Ensures compliance to the corporate identity at all times
•Attend and participate in networking forums resulting in the increased awareness of quality graduates
•Identify businesses to partner with
•Market the brand and demonstrates the value of recruiting from the career centre
Student Recruitment :
•Receive requests from students or graduates from clients
•Sends a job specification to clients to complete
•Advertise the job on the campus in relation to the relevant target market
•Uses different mediums to advertise jobs
•Receive and screens student’s CVs
•Obtain letters of recommendation from Academic Operations and Co-ordinate suitable student candidates
•Conduct one on one interviews with the potential students and sends CVs to clients
•Preparation of Students for Work Readiness
•Fills out a profile form to ascertain student’s strengths and weaknesses and create self awareness
•Guide and advises on CV preparation
•Guide and advises on interview techniques
Provide general career support :
•Design and presents a range of interactive workshops in relation to work readiness
•Host work readiness workshops by inviting industry leaders to address students
•Support and collaborate with Heads of Schools and departments regarding events and workshops
Alumni :
•Extend similar support to alumni allowing them to take advantage of professional networks
•Offer alumni the opportunity to reconnect with fellow students through networking functions and alumni reunions
•Create a platform for Alumni to give back to the brand and students either by providing graduate job opportunities, talks or providing mentorship to current students
•Remain in contact with existing Alumni and assist with building a database of new Alumni
