Our client, a global manufacturer based in East London is currently seeking to employ Systems Analyst (Test Automation Engineer)

Responsible:

• Design, develop, implement and continuously improve software quality, testing tools, testing processes and testing environments through the application of appropriate testing methodologies and processes. Align test management strategy to industry best practices and frameworks.
• Design test plans on software applications based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Participation in various phases of the software development process activities including analysis, development and technical support.
• Implement, track and report on all testing activities to assure full coverage of functional and non-functional requirements
• Plan, design, create, execute and maintain test automation scripts that meet the business needs.
• Responsible for test planning, design and the creation of test data.
• Participate and provide feedback on any activities where QA practices and risks are to be considered from the writing of user stories, pre-development testing notes and executing QA testing activities in accordance to processes and quality guidelines so as to identify defects / quality concerns in projects.
• Coordinate and perform manual and automated testing activities and ensure a highly effective and well-documented test environment.
• Distribute test management knowledge to team members.
• Initiate, develop and maintain a range of working relationships, within IT, the business and CoC
• Perform all outputs in compliance with the Company’s Integrity Codes & SHEQ requirements
• Perform delegated SHEQ tasks and duties and Inform superiors about deviations

Requirements:

• Minimum NQF 7 – BSC/BCom/BTech in Information Technology or B. Eng. (Industrial Engineering)
• Minimum 3+ Years’ experience in IT
• Experience with test automation tools.
• ISTQB/ISEB Certification will be advantageous

Systems and Process compliance

• Assist Quality Manager in maintaining an integrated Quality Management System
• Assist in performing audits of the systems, processes and products on site to a defined audit schedule
• Assist in continually monitoring the adherence to optimum process settings and controls, targeting continual improvement

Risk Management

• Co-ordinate action teams and improvement programmes to continually improve on identified risks as well as create and/or update risk management related documentation (FMEA, Control Plan, etc.)

Information Management

Management of quality at source

• Assist to continually improve upon the effective use of quality tools available to assist with improvement drives on the shopfloor, at source
• Assist with supplier 8D investigations and DMR’s

Customer relations

• Assist in maintaining relationships with both Customers and Suppliers. Assist in attending to Customer queries and resolution thereof

Minimum requirements:

• A Matric Certificate
• Diploma in Engineering (i.e. Mechanical / Industrial or Operations Management)
• Sound knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 and VDA6.5
• Qualification in VDA6.3 Process Audit and ISO 9001, IATF 16949 1st & 2nd Party Auditor will be advantageous
• Sound knowledge of SPC, process and machine capability (Cp, Cpk, Cm & Cmk)
• Sound knowledge & previous experience in injection molding will be advantageous
• Sound knowledge of Quality Core Tools
• Sound knowledge of Measurement System Analysis
• 3 years related experience in a Quality Department within an IATF 16949 certified Company
• Knowledge of Quality Systems and ability to work independently and attention to detail.
