Our client has a new opportunity for a highly productive Senior Warehouse Assistant.

Key areas of performance (not limited to)
- Monitor sorting of raw material as per warehouse needs.
- Assist in managing the flow of raw material into the warehouse
- People management – performance, motivation, training and discipline.
- Administration of all raw material and transport transactions.
- Documentation of sending and receiving of seed transactions managed.
- Professional liaison with raw material producers.
- Ensure accurate documentation.
- Sorting raw material accurately in accordance with quality requirements.
- Proactive identification of risk of stored foods and management thereof.
- Quality tests monitored as per client specification.
- Ensure all stocks are accounted for.
- Maintain stock schedule to enable production needs.
- Plan and perform monthly stock takes.
- Setting of key performance indicators and performance management of employees.
- Ensure staff adhere to Disciplinary Code.
- Ensure training plans for staff are in place.
- General housekeeping of warehouse managed. 100% adherence to factories and OHSE Act. Adherence to Health and Safety Procedure and Policy.
- Effective liaison with production and quality control staff.
The Ideal candidate will possess :
- National Senior Certificate
- Five years and above relevant experience within a large, busy factory/warehouse environment
- Able to lead the warehouse staff (in the absence of the warehouse manager) in proper functioning of factory activities
- Able to generate stock/despatch reports and generate formats for the functioning of the warehouse
- Fluent in the English language, both read and write
- Strong leadership and team development qualities
- An analytical and logical approach to problem-solving
- A focused and dedicated approach towards achieving assigned targets
- Quick decision-making capabilities, in order
- Ability to counsel and solve the grievances of subordinates
- Sound numerical and analytical skills Good housekeeping skills
- Responsible and reliable Ability to lead by example Employee Relations knowledge

- Able to manage effectively in a pressurised environment
