The role of an Operations Technician is to effectively and professionally maintain electrical and electronics equipment in Paint Shop with an objective to ensure optimum plant availability, minimum material cost per production unit and optimum utilisation of materials. Responsibilities
• Analysing programmable logic controller programs for the purpose of modifying and find faults on the machines and equipment.
• Correcting various Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic types of fault on machines in order to ensure production continuity. • Assessing breakdowns and develop alternative solutions to prevent occurrences.
• Ensuring machine availability, accuracy and performance to enable continuous production within area of responsibility.
• Planning and developing modifications for conventional relay equipment to PLC equipment on various machines in order to reduce maintenance costs. • Supporting production with new facility installations and commissioning to ensure proper functionality. Education & Experience • National N Diploma/National Diploma in Mechatronics /Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering qualification

- Skilled in communication, analytical abilities and observation skills
- A keen eye for detail in order to spot financial errors and ensure that they are rectified
- Must have a minimum eight to ten years of experience in an accounting function
- Previous exp in CA or financial director role imperative
- Excellent understanding of IFRS and Companies Act knowledge will be very important
Requirements
- BCom (Articles) CA SAICA Member.
- The incumbent will be responsible for financial management, incorporating reporting, budgets, internal controls and financial advice to the head of department.
- To be successful in this senior role, candidates must not only possess formal skills such as budgeting and budget control and financial reporting, but also high emotional intelligence and the ability to interact and work in a team.
- A BCom, with completed articles and CA(SA) certification is the minimum requirement sought.
- This must be supported by specialist status (experience at one of the leading firms) in financial management and extensive experience in operational management.
- Computer literacy (SAP and MS Office, with intermediate Excel) is very important and candidates must be members of SAICA.
- The ability to interpret data and provide financial insight, along with a drive for performance, is also required.
