Duties and responsibilities

The role of a Video Producer within Justpalm includes the following responsibilities and key duties:

Ideation

  • Brainstorming creative video, audio and photographic shoots with your team.
  • Helping with scripting and storyboarding to ensure the creative vision is possible to implement based on budget and teams abilities.
  • Assist with storyboarding and presentation to internal and external stakeholders.

Production

  • Producing multimedia (Video and Audio) content as per brief instructions paying careful attention to client KPI’s.
  • Source and secure talent required for shoots quickly and efficiently.
  • Scout and secure shoot locations
  • Coordinate hours and manpower within allocated budget before shoots.
  • Develop full and ready production schedules
  • Ensure that all gear required for shoots is available on the day with batteries fully charged.
  • Delegation of tasks to team members while keeping a birds-eye view on all deliverables

Directing

  • Ensure that you understand in full the requirements as per brief instructions, client CI and Creative Direction before undertaking a shoot.
  • Coordinate and direct shoots on the day to ensure your team is following production schedules.
  • Direct and coach your team, talent, and additional crewmembers efficiently and seamlessly to make sure that all requirements and creative vision is met.

Editing and Engineering

  • Record and edit video and sound content, selecting program format for final output.
  • Capturing, importing and organizing raw media objects.
  • Editing raw footage and sound files as per brief instructions
  • Creating and inserting static and motion graphics (VFX) and adding music, voice over (SFX).
  • Media management and archiving of all footage for the client.

Budget Control

  • Control budget for pre, post and on the day production ensuring the profitability of the company at all times
  • Ensure upfront payments for clients are secure.
  • Track and monitor payments for equipment, talent, freelancers and overall shoot.
  • Monitor people’s hours to ensure that the company does not over or under service the client.

Working within a team

  • Co-ordinate and discuss shoots with the team bringing a high degree of knowledge and experience
  • Work seamlessly and efficiently with team members fostering a collaborative work environment
  • Ensure timely response to requests from team members on all deliverables.
  • Manage and follow up on delegated deliverables

Other

  • Ad- hoc assignments designated to you that may not be part of your normal job description
  • Be proactive with your own learning and development to enhance your skills and experience
  • Develop new initiatives for best practice procedures within the company
  • Adhere to company policy and procedures at all time
  • Always ensure a full and comprehensive hand over document is submitted when on leave.

We are looking for an energetic, passionate and proven sales achiever to join our team. You will be required to prospect, research and identify prospects throughout Africa, based off our top percentile of customer base and Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).

Thereafter, call and email to arrange meetings with potential clients which are closed entirely by Rocketseed Account Executives who hold sales quotas and targets. Experience in Inside Sales, sales or sales development for technology or SaaS businesses is preferred.

Skills required:

  • Excellent communication and calling skills, proven social media profile and adept at prospecting tools such as LinkedIn, CRM systems and data use.

  • Clear drive to achieve targets set by the heads of sales for the region.
  • An understanding of Marketing software would be ideal.
  • Work together with Marketing and manage follow-up for certain inbound/outbound leads.

Key deliverables and requirements:

  • Minimum of 20 Sales Qualified Leads (SQL’s) per month based on a specific SQL criteria. An incentive plan is in place for levels reached above target.
  • Source leads and prospects by taking advantage of all available communication channels, i.e. telephone, email, online, social media, networking, etc. Connect with decision-makers and influencers, and grow your network.
  • Contact new company prospects through a prospecting system that is being developed.
  • Manage and maintain your own admin in Salesforce CRM and Google Drive (record keeping, sales material, documentation, contracts, emails, notes and more).
  • Track all activity within the Salesforce CRM system.
  • Add value to the management of our business by contributing new prospecting or sales ideas.
  • Take the initiative to completely understand in detail the reason for the prospect interest in our business: the products we offer, the pain points they have and the value we create for our customers.
  • Understand the internal processes we use to deliver for our customers. Product training will be provided by the Rocketseed team.
  • Represent Rocketseed and our brand with conviction and positivity at all times.

Compensation:

This would be a base salary with an attractive commission structure thereafter and possible bonus based on merit and performance after 12 months of tenure at year end.
