Job Purpose:

• 2D Animation: The purpose of this module is to develop students understanding of 2D animation software to plan and produce rendered images for final movies.
• 3D Animation: Students learn to create 3D environments in 3D Studio Max, along with all the basics of modeling in 3D software.

Education:

• An Honours degree in Digital Design/ Media/Graphic Design/ Multimedia OR an Honours degree in one of the Digital Graphic/ Media/ Multimedia related fields with digital graphics or a similarly related field to third year level.

Requirements

Work Experience:

• Lecturing experience in Digital Graphics/ Digital Design/ Multimedia.
• Work experience as a Graphics Designer/ Digital Animator/ Multimedia in a related graphical design environment.

Key Performance Area:

• Lecturing and academic delivery to ensure students are guided and supported in their learning to achieve module outcomes.

Job description

A global research house is looking for a senior research executive.

Responsible for the design, execution and delivery of research projects (both adhoc and tracking) from taking a brief to presenting results. In collaboration with research managers and directors, the incumbent will build existing business and client relationships and contribute to the development of junior team members

Financial Management and Business Acumen

• Monitor project costs and complete within budget
• Assist in costing and monitoring GM and profit on projects

Client Development and Management

• Displays a good understanding of Company offerings across whole business to clients
• Displays a thorough understanding of the client business and market

People Development and Management

• Provide support to the rest of the team in terms of checking, monitoring, mentoring and motivating
• Maintain motivation in team through clear communication
• Maintain strong and effective working relationship with Juniors
• Support a learning culture through development of junior team members
• Identify skills gaps and growth potential of team members; provide on the job training

Research Skills

Proposal, Design, Costing and Sampling

• Competent user of the costing system
• Provide sound research recommendations, apply appropriate research methodology 
• Able to write proposals, design questionnaires/discussion guides and sample design and tab specs

Questionnaire

• Ensure that questionnaires have been checked by all relevant departments and feedback has been incorporated into final version

Project Management

• Manage and evaluate project progress from inception through to conclusion
• Responsible for monitoring and checking on Junior’s output
• Drive integration of team members to deliver excellence
• Check data to ensure data quality and integrity (including rowtabs, forensics, normal tables, etc.)
• Ensure implementation of the most simple, effective and fastest project schedules and processes

Communication

• Responsible for preparation and writing of clear and accurate reports, presentations and proposals
• Is able to confidently present research results to client (smaller, less strategic projects)
• Liaise with client on project related matters

Leadership

• Proactively resolves problems
• Maintain very strong focus on efficiency and speed of delivery in all projects process / interactions
• Proactively responsible for own learn

Requirements

• Completed tertiary education – degree in Marketing, eg. B Com/B Bus Sc (preferably Hons)
• Minimum of three to five years’ work experience in the research industry
• Research acumen
• Analytical ability with proven numeracy skills
• Computer literacy – proficiency on all MS Office packages
• Business writing skills
• Presentation skills
• Basic commercial skills (cost and time management)
• Strong attention to detail
• Organisation and Administration skills

At least one year’s of experience as a Mid Level Cost Estimator in a printing and advertising industry.- ESSENTIAL

Previous relationships with suppliers in the company’s industry would be a strong advantage

Requirements

• Essential – Excellent flair for numbers and costing
• You must be available to work on Saturdays and overtime if and when required.
