A leading petrochemical company seeks the expertise of a highly skilled Industrial Sales Specialist to join its team. Successful incumbent should have an NQF Level 6 Degree, five years’ experience in sales and marketing, knowledge of the lubricants business would be advantageous.
Duties:
Sales strategies:
Plan and implement sales strategies and initiatives in accordance with the sales portfolio through business and market intelligence analysis with rethe commendation in capturing market share to achieve targeted profits and margins for the organisation.
Sales plan implementation:
Execute the sales plan and provide recommendations on competitor activities through business networking and market intelligence, as well as appraising customers sales programs to achieve targeted sales volume, market share, revenue and margin for the company.
Facilitate the sales implementation by monitoring of the inventory of the system to achieve targeted sales volume, market share, revenue and margin for the company.
Plan and strategise the sales activities through market analysis and outlook by executing the agreed sales/distribution and building strategic business networks to maximize sales and distribution network for the product portfolio.
Customer and Stakeholder Relationship Management:
Foster and sustain effective working relationship and rapport with customers and stakeholders (both internal & external) by understanding customer/stakeholders’ needs & requirements and managing their expectations in order to sustain current business and gain new business opportunities.
Compliance (HSEQ and government):
Enforce the implementation of all applicable company guidelines (e.g. HSEQ requirements & ZETO Rules) & Legislative requirements to stakeholders to ensure compliance and to safeguard the company’s interests.
Demand forecast and supply management:
Compile monthly customer demand forecast & review sales vs forecast to ensure accurate demand and supply planning and implement supply management measures to ensure effective and fair supply.
Requirements:
Minimum qualification, accreditation and experience:
NQF Level 6 (commerce, business, engineering or related).
Five years sales and marketing.
Advantageous qualification, accreditation and experience:
Technical knowledge.
Computer literacy: SAP and MS Office.
Knowledge of the Lubricants business.
Lubricants sales experience.

Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a related field
Prior experience in facilitating groups of adults
Prior experience in HIV and/or community work
Good written and oral communication skills
The ability to work independently as well as within a project team environment
Sound interpersonal skills
Training and facilitation experience
Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills
Valid code 8 driver’s license
Intermediate level computer skills (MS Office).
Advantageous
Experience in Stepping Stones Facilitation an advantage.
Accreditation as a facilitator/assessor or moderator

An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified Community Referral Officer to participate in a ground-breaking HIV prevention programme focusing on counselling and Testing (HTS) in the Pietermaritzburg area as CMT seeks to employ 2 (two) Community Referral Officers who will be responsible for strengthening linkages between facilitators and HIV Testing Services (HTS) as well as other health and social services.
