We’re looking for a senior paid social manager who will be responsible for the execution and delivery of paid social strategies and efficient day to day management of assigned client accounts.
Key responsibilities include executing, optimising and reporting on best-in-class paid social media campaigns through available social media marketing platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) with emphasis on innovative initiatives, and working closely with the client services team to communicate campaign strategy, progress and results.
Campaign management responsibilities
Mastering, optimising and defining Jellyfish’s methodologies utilising third party and internal tools, required to deliver efficient and profitable paid social campaigns
Leading the campaign strategy, researching potential marketing channels, analysing competitors, and adopting a robust test and learn approach
Critically analysing the performance of campaigns, identifying strategic opportunities, facilitating change to hit and exceed client expectations and KPIs
Project managing all activity and processes required to proficiently run and create campaigns
Producing client-facing reports, studies and presentations to Jellyfish brand standards including measuring forecasts vs actual and clearly articulating rationale for optimisation methodologies throughout campaigns
Maintaining an in-depth understanding of Jellyfish’s marketplace and the social landscape to ensure delivery of best-in-class campaigns
Managing relationships with advertising partners and communicating account strategy, budgets, and performance
New business and pitch support
Pro-actively contribute and support the head of social and social media directors with; research, insight and support around datasets that lead to effective cross-channel media strategies and tactics
Support Analysts to deliver insight reports based on pre-determined scope
Build effective and logical media plans based on RFPs
Drive forward the RFP by collaborating and ensuring the response is integrated and aligned to the social insights and content methodologies
Training
Up-skill other members of the team, where required, on best practice paid social campaign execution
Support the wider team to improve their understanding of paid social
Share best practice and knowledge with wider Jellyfish Group via lunch and learns, or other learning situations
Best practice and offering development
Create bespoke and up-to-date processes and frameworks to facilitate the growing use of paid social
Pro-actively work in partnership with directors and heads of other departments and divisions to ensure adherence to best practice in all areas
Pro-actively work with the head of social and director of social insight to develop our paid social product and processes within the agency
Collaborate and support the development and implementation of paid social media measurement frameworks and KPIs
Develop the offering to include the latest tools, technology and techniques
Work with data suppliers and other third-party data experts to help develop our data visualisation and presentation
Interrogate and identify opportunities to build better paid social media plans and processes
Line manager and mentoring
Act as a senior leader, mentor and coach to direct reports and the wider team
Set examples of best behaviour and delivery of high standards in every communication
Work with the senior team to identify skills gaps and support personal development plans across the department
Deliverables
Demonstrates measurable success through the achievement of set KPIs. E.g. account turnover and profitability, campaign management, report generation/analysis and overall service
Requirements

Is a confident and articulate presenter
Proven ability to proficiently chair meetings
Possesses the requisite project management skills required to ensure seamless standards of service and delivery
Possesses strong software skills that support the delivery of high quality client facing documents
Knowledge and experience requirements
An in-depth knowledge of the technologies and processes involved in running paid social campaigns (knowledge and experience of using Facebook Power Editor and Twitter Ads Manager would be advantageous)
Substantial experience in digital marketing account management; with previous accountability for annual billings in excess of R1M
Certifications in Facebook Blueprint and Google Advertising Fundamentals Exam would be advantageous
A good understanding of Google Analytics and other web analytics packages
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

In this role you will be responsible for conceptualising and working with our team to create digital products for our clients. You’ll be expected to set the bar for design within our industry and you’ll be involved with projects ranging from large-scale public-facing sites to compelling microsites and mobile app design.
