QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Matric (Essential)

• BCOM Finance (Essential)

• Costing Experience – 5yrs or more experience (Essential)

• Advanced Excel skills (Essential)

• Knowledge of Syspro (Advantageous)

• Experience in the Manufacturing environment (Advantageous)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Costing of Engineering Changes

• Preparation of Factory Cost new Models/parts

• Preparation of Sales Price for new Models/parts

• Analysis of Supplier Price Increases

• Analysis of cost movement between parts

• Preparation of Customer Annual Price Adjustments

• Preparation of Customer Quarterly adjustments

• Preparation of all necessary Costing documentations for each Customer

• Cost evaluation of all cost reduction ideas

• Liaising with JV Partner and Customers on any costing/pricing queries

• Tracking of Forex and Cu movements

• Cost Evaluation of all parts for localisation

• Presentations to Management as required

• General Admin

BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

• Excellent Numeracy is required as there is significant calculation work involved

• Attention to detail, effectively work in teams

• Strong ability to express your ideas on paper

• Strong ability to effectively explain ideas to others

• Ability to manage your time, work & priorities without supervision

Job description

Management of the Innovation Lab/Centre. Co-ordinating multiple projects/programmes within the Lab, ensuring that it aligns and supports the organisation’s strategic goals and that all programmes deliver the desirable outcome. Full day to day management of the Innovation Centre/Lab and all its activities to achieve the desired impact and outcomes

• General Lab management/running of the Lab
• Day to day oversight of Lab staff/facilitators
• Programme and project management on multiple projects/programmes that run within the Lab
• Facilitation for/of workshops/engagements
• Effective utilisation, maintenance and training on the use of all machinery within the Lab
• Health, safety and security management at the Lab

Requirements

A degree or diploma in engineering is advantageous.

We are looking for someone with an evident interest in innovation and socio-economic development. Excellent project management skills are essential. Excellent technical/engineering skills and knowledge is essential. Previous experience working in an innovation, socio-economic development space is advantageous. Facilitation experience is advantageous.

Previous experience in the management of a similar facility will be taken into consideration.

The successful candidate will be someone who is highly motivated, willing to go the extra mile, takes initiative, manages their time effectively and is flexible.

The candidate will be required to work on weekends or afterhours if the projects demand such time, but this is on an ad hoc basis. Driver’s license is essential. The candidate needs to be highly proficient in MS Office, with specific reference to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
