Job description
- To efficiently plan and manage production to achieve targets most efficiently and cost effectively
- To ensure that all Food Safety and Quality Standards are adhered to at all times and remedial action is taken when required
- To drive continuous improvement and the optimisation of processes through resource and facility planning and utilisation
- To ensure compliance with all Safety, Health and hygiene legislative requirements and company policies and procedures
- To ensure that staff are trained, equipped and motivated through effective staff management processes
- To monitor costs to ensure operation within budget and to maximise investment and utilisation of resources
Requirements
•Technical diploma in Operations Management
•A degree in Engineering will be advantageous
•Five to eight years’ middle management experience in a FMCG production environment
•Intensive knowledge of relevant legislation (HACCP, OSH Act, BCEA, EE and SD)
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
•Unwavering focus on delivering results
