Duties:

Requirements:
A master’s degree
at least five years of senior management experience in an environment of higher learning
at least five years of experience in and extensive knowledge of student affairs or a similar environment in the higher education field centred around student affairs
evidence of national and/or international outputs in respect of student development as theme for own research and professional development
proven experience of administration (including financial administration) and personnel management
excellent verbal and written fluency in at least English
proven ability to function effectively within a multilingual and multicultural environment
sound interpersonal relations and the ability to provide guidance within a team
proven track record of problem solving and innovation
excellent ability to conceptualise.

Ensure that explosive waste is disposed of according to law.
Duties include the following, but not limited to:
Approve licende applications for all buildings, products, processes, modifications and transportation
Approves in writing the rules, methods, materials, equipment and tools to be used in the danger area
Establish and maintain systems for safe handling of explosives
Enforce requirements of the explosives act and explosives regulations under the OSH Act
Liaise with Government Departments, local authorities, and Explosives institutions
Approve all manufacturing documentation
Coordinate and report on risk assessments completed in the danger area
Manage and ensure conformance to AIA regulations
Ensure explosives stock do not exceed the prescribed limits
