Frogitt & Vonkel is South Africa’s leading Private Wine Merchants, retailing exclusive and sought-after wines to over 25,000 customers across SA and Namibia.
After 14 years of continuous growth we’re now opening our own Wine Bar and Urban Tasting Centre in a historical building in the heart of Bree Street. It’s set to be unlike anything the Mother City has seen before, with multiple attractions appealing to locals and tourists alike.
We’re seeking to appoint a General Manager (and everyone below that) that can not only run a tight ship, but can lead the vibe and create and maintain a crew of wine loving, enthusiastic, hospitality staff.

Requirements
Three years’ Bar Management experience
Ability to interface a new “bricks and mortar” venue with an existing and extremely busy direct-sales company
A genuine passion for wine and a solid knowledge thereof

As a development manager you have no problem fitting into this driven and dynamic environment.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Recruits the right team with a practical development tests and communication assessment and can conduct proper interviews and sell LQR
Sets development and QA improvement process roadmap for 6months and communicates plan and milestones to achieve end goals
Identifies and reduces waste and improves speed, quality of work and profitability of technical delivery e.g. Automation of testing, code re-use plans etc.

Monitors and grows all Dev and QA team skills and processes (annual reviews, skills sharing, best practice rollout, etc)
