Your core role includes technical planning and delivering elements of front-end mobile and web applications. You will need to have exceptional HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript skills, at least three years’ experience in a commercial industry and be familiar working in a Unix environment on OS X and with the standard open sourcetool chain. Duties:

  • Deliver front-end elements of mobile and web applications.
  • Develop prototype interfaces for concept validation and testing.
  • Assist with technical planning alongside the CTO and development team.

  • Contribute to creating and running automated testing, maintenance and bug-resolution processes.

Requirements:

Must-haves –

  • At least three+ years of development experience in a commercial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of HTML5 mark-up and the ability to create semantically correct document structures.
  • Extensive CSS3 knowledge – specifically around flexbox layouts, animations and 2D/3D transformations and media queries.
  • Significant responsive development experience, developing to fluid layouts, cascading breakpoints and/or specific viewports.
  • Solid JavaScript experience, ideally in an interactive UI setting.
  • Some experience with client-side JavaScript frameworks, ideally one or more of Ember, Angular, React or similar.
  • Experience with Git and Github and pull request workflows.
  • Comfortable working in a Unix environment on OS X.

Advantageous –

  • Writing CSS using the BEM methodology.
  • Creating/maintaining/implementing a UI style guide.
  • Some server-side development exposure, ideally with Ruby on Rails, Python, PHP or similar Object Orientated languages.
  • Hybrid mobile development and deployment wrappers like Phonegap, Cordova, Ionic or similar.

The Lead Analyst for Account Management will lead a small team of analysts to drive business value in the Payment, Collections, Finance operations and Recoveries business areas.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:Business analytics

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to drive business efficiency and enhancing business decisions by using data.
  • Monitor and analyse real-time and historic data to identify trends, issues and/or opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for advanced analytics and automated decision solutions.
  • Enhance the use of data, reports and analytical tools for decision making by educating and influencing stakeholders.

Decision support solutions

  • Work closely with business to identify opportunities for monitoring and decision support solutions.
  • Gather requirements, design and implement decision support solutions.
  • Work closely with the data team and information and analytics architect to implement data solutions in the data warehouse.
  • Work with the data science team to develop appropriate predictive analytics solutions.
  • Work with IT, business and data science to implement embedded automated decision solutions.

  • Ensure data and analytics requirements are considered in new business solutions.
  • Do impact assessment on changes to existing functionality.

Project management

  • Effective planning and prioritising of own work, as well as that of the team.
  • Provide progress feedback to business stakeholders and line management.

Team Management

  • Manage the performance and development of a small analyst team.
  • Coach and mentor team members.

Stakeholder management

  • Effective internal stakeholder management within Data and Analytics.
  • Effectively represent the data and analytics team in the organisation. Listen, influence, collaborate, communicate in a way that enhances the efficiency and decision making capabilities of the organisation.

Qualification:

  • Degree in finance / mathematics / statistics / actuarial / business management / engineering or related discipline

Experience: 

  • Eight+ years in an analytical role, preferably in a formal analytics or business intelligence environment. Management or mentoring experience would be advantageous.
