Rhino Africa, Africa’s leading luxury safari company, is united under a common vision – to remain the undisputed authority on African travel. To keep #trending at the top of the travel industry and even more so in the digital world, we’re on the hunt for a Social Media & Programmatic Display Manager to spearhead our double award-winning, super international, 5x multilingual Social Media team.

Rhino Africa’s in-house Marketing agency, Rhino Africa Digital (RAD for short!), is home to our own tribe of digital marketing #fundis, SEO specialists, lyrical geniuses, data-savvy business analysts and an audacious team of photographers, cinematographers and designers; all of whom collaborate to share our African passion, experience and knowledge with the world. We’re on a safari straight to the top of social media, and we’re in need of a guide to get us there. What we’re looking for is more than a Head Honcho of Instagreezy – we’re hiring for a visionary leader and up-to-speed Social Media & Programmatic Display Manager who is equipped to:

• Define and implement social media strategies to generate leads and increase brand awareness internationally
• Execute, monitor and optimize display & social media campaigns based on goals and KPIs
• Define and optimise marketing budgets for multiple campaigns
• Manage Rhino Africa’s reputation and brand across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube & Twitter
• Develop and oversee a Social Media pipeline of engaging, accurate and on-message content
• Collaborate with our analytics team to continuously improve Social Media performance through the creation of reports and detailed analysis on campaign performance
• Supervise a team of multilingual social media interns
• Act on new social media developments, trends and opportunities
• Deploy communication strategies with existing clients through email marketing campaigns
• Most of all, inspire clients to undertake a safari or wildlife experience with Rhino Africa

Requirements

Our ideal Social Media & Programmatic Display Manager is experienced in campaign roll-out and content creation, carrying at least:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Math, Engineering, Computer Sciences or business
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical mindset and a good grasp of numbers
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in a digital industry or a related field
• An excellent grasp of and flair for the English language (knowledge of German, French, Spanish and/or Portuguese is a big plus!)

• A solid understanding of Facebook for Business
• A basic grasp of SEO principles and practices
• Familiarity with email marketing software
• An intermediate-level understanding of MS Excel and Google Analytics
• Experience managing paid social media campaigns from end to end
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• The ability to maintain a high level of productivity under pressure
• Passion for the digital marketing field
