Our client based in Cape Town are looking for asenior .Net/C# developer to join their team. You must have at least five years’ experience and would enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment, would be comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and would have excellent analytical and communication skills.

Duties:

• Design, develop and deployment of new products/components/interfaces to enhance the company’s product offering.
• Design, develop and deployment of operational/performance enhancements on existing products.
• Develop systems according to technical specification/functional specifications and budgets defined.
• Assist with development time and cost estimations as well as evaluating business viability.
• Analysing and identifying improvement areas on existing products.
• Derive technical design specifications.
• Diagnosing of systems and fault finding.
• Assist with system testing.
• Software optimisation.
• Compile and maintain programming/product documentation.

Requirements:

• Background in software development projects and methodologies.
• B.Sc. computer science or equivalent highly recommended.
• At Least five years’ experience in Microsoft .Net technology (C# preferable).
• Thoroughness and attention to detail.
• Desire to improve systems and processes.
• Ability to problem solve high-pressure issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Web services implementation, WCF, WPF and/or Silverlight and Oracle experience will be advantageous.

A Cape Town based transaction technology research and development house requires a junior software tester to be responsible for ensuring excellent quality for several software products. The role includes assisting with product development and performing quality assurance on a number of products, creating and maintaining testing environments, providing product support and product integration with other systems. Duties:

• The primary function of this role is to perform quality assurance for several software products, to create and maintain testing environments, and to provide product support and product integration with other systems.

In addition, the duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Documenting and executing regression, functional, and integration tests
• Providing support to development, QA and project teams when required
• Compiling documentation describing product functions and features
• Troubleshooting and managing software bugs and defects
• Working with developers and the QA team to complete tasks within allocated timeframes
• Providing daily feedback to the department head
