This position is responsible for the operation of the CNC machine.
Key accountabilities
Must operate the machine as per the operating manual in a safe manner.
Check that boards/furniture components received are as per the job spec.
Select correct programme for the corresponding component.
Check that work done conforms with the job spec, especially measurements.
All work to be signed off by team leader/supervisor.
Must be able to set and maintain machine as per maintenance schedules.
Keep your work area free from waste material.
When no programme exist or modifications are required, then these are to be reported to the technical centre.
Receive ongoing training on the programming and operation of the CNC machine.
Skills required
Matric (grade 12).
Skills training in machine operation.
Good knowledge of health and safety procedures.
Able to read route papers and understand set-outs.
Able to check quantity and quality of jobs before leaving workstation.
Computer literacy.
Must be able to quality control.
Must be prepared to physically work on the machine i.e. load and unload components for drilling.
Experience with Biesse Rover machine is essential.

Reporting to the Fuse programme management office the Project Manager for Platform Implementations will coordinate and direct the activities of the Implementation team to ensure we deliver a platform implementation that realises the customer’s vision and specifications including any integrations and customisations.
Working with customers
You will be a key contact for our customers throughout the Implementation project from initiation to launch. You’ll educate them on our processes and ways of working, establish collaborative communities and connect them with key resources, unblock problems and get the answers they need. You’ll keep them updated on progress regularly and ensure they provide us with everything we need to deliver on time.
Coordinating the implementation team
Working closely with the head of implementation you’ll plan the activities of the solutions architects and user interface designers directly. You’ll also interface with other business functions including product, development and customer success and support to ensure an excellent customer experience during the implementation phase.
Managing the project portfolio
You will own and maintain the project plans for all current implementation projects. You will ensure actual effort is accurately recorded against the project plans and manage all exceptions, updating plans as necessary.
You’ll work with the sales and operational teams to identify new project requirements and be able to advise them on resource availability and indicative timescales.
You will create project plans, trackers, reports, registers and logs as necessary to maintain project control and provide all stakeholders with visibility on progress, risks and budgets.
You will run daily scrum calls with the Implementation team to review the project portfolio and ensure we’re tracking accurately against planned activity, identifying and resolving conflicts and communicating slippage and risks.
You will work with the PMO to capture and report resource utilisation and project performance.
Resource management and forecasting
On a day to day basis you’ll manage the workload across the implementation team, resolving overloads and rescheduling work as required to maintain an even loading across the available resources.
You’ll review the sales pipeline on a weekly basis to identify new project requirements and forecast future resource capacity needs.
