Duties:
- Develop native Android applications written in Java.

Requirements:
- Solid understanding of Android and Java.
- One+ years of experience with native Android.

- Basic understanding of Git and/or SCM.
- A good understanding of Android’s design principles and guidelines.
- Ability to write testable code and unit tests.
- Strong focus on building reusable code and libraries.
- Attention to UI/UX and logically adhering as much as possible to the designs.
- A firm grasp of the software development lifecycle.
- A solid foundation of software design principles.
- Ability to fit into a relaxed yet professional environment.
Advantageous
- Experience with technologies such as RxJava, Dagger2, Espresso and Firebase.
- Experience building mobile banking and payment apps.
- Good understanding and awareness regarding mobile app security.
- Experience with Jenkins or CI.
- Experience with crash reporting and analytics frameworks.
- Experience in the full lifecycle of an app, from design stage, to release and support.
- Understanding of agile methodologies.
- A good sense of responsibility with a desire to improvise and discover more efficient solutions.
- Experience setting up and maintaining applications on the Play Store.

- Five years’ experience in web programming especially Java/J2EE.

- Experience with Spring and Hibernate is desirable.

- Good understanding of networking, internet protocols and LDAP.
- Demonstrates knowledge of multi-threading, data structures, OOD, design patterns and web services.
- Knowledge of unit testing techniques.
- Knowledge of REST API standards.
- Knowledge of Spring framework would be an advantage but not essential.
- Knowledge of technical features that impact online performance – such as bandwidth, page size, individual component size, etc.
- Advanced computer literacy essential.
