REQUIREMENTS
Matric, Own Car and Driver’s License
Degree/Diploma/Certificate advantageous, min 3 – 5 years relevant experience working in the capacity of a Sales Manager
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Work independently, possess high energy levels and manage own time and activities
Excellent presentation, negotiation skills and strong business acumen
Ability to take initiative, efficiency orientation and adherence to standards
Team building and leadership skills to drive and motivate performance through effective coaching skills
Increase new business sales volumes, maintaining existing customer base as well
Must possess a thorough knowledge of the Renovations/Building industry and/or related sectors
DUTIES
Implementation of the company sales strategy for the company, broken down into regions, and per channel/route to market
Provide daily/weekly/monthly feedback to the General Manager and Accountant on actual sales versus budget and forecast
Assist with the performance of competitor analysis to determine market trends & pricing
Create relationships with key strategic professional bodies from a networking perspective
Plan and carry out all selling activities (e.g. cold calling) with and through staff to agreed targets
Generate appointments/leads as a result of sales/contacts activities
Plan/execute all Brand Product activations – in store and launches
Respond to and follow up on all sales enquiries by telephone and personal visits
Submit quotes/tenders/proposals in support of generating new and existing business
Manage the Showroom and displays and ensure that it is always neatly presented with Product samples and POS Material/brochures
Develop own lead sources and establish a Data base of Contacts
Developing annual budgets, as well as quarterly forecasts of the branch
Manage the implementation of price increases during the year with customers
Monitoring of actual monthly margins of product vs budget and forecast
Managing & granting of discounts to customers in line with the company policies
Responsible for the creation of credit notes to customers, for approval by Accountant
Ensure that measurements are done accurately onsite at the customers premises and that notes are made of any installation instructions required
Ensure that accurate quotations are provided timeously to Direct customers
Where possible, whilst measuring the Direct customers premises, identify further potentials sales to the customer
Analyse monthly statistics on customer support levels and implement corrective action plans for issues relating to the sales process.
Resolve customer complaints and take steps to correct staff performance
Monitoring and reporting on monthly progress of actual sales to budget and forecast;
