- You’re not a senior greybeard yet; you’ve probably been coding for somewhere between three to seven years
- You are a C# developer you know the stack well enough to handle everything but the most complex development
- You’ve at least done a couple of tutorials on .NET Core/ASP.NET Core
The sorts of skills that are going to make him want to buy you a beer are:
- You didn’t start coding yesterday. Yes you’re talented but you’ve eaten elephants before and know what to watch for.
- You’re curious – we’ve got a blank slate for you; at these rates you’ll be expected to back the HOD up when conceptualising, tech decision making and in the actual code itself.
- C# is your playground.
- You’re full-stack and have produced B2C UI before – ideally in Angular but they’ll talk if you bring UI JavaScript/Typescript or React with at least a little Angular.
- Web Api/Restful services.
The other stuff that would help me negotiate an offer for you:
- Azure with CosmoDB.
- Taken an MVP to market before.
- Financial Services or Fintech experience.
- B2C product experience.
