You will be a highly organised individual with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure the smooth running of the business. Cashier Needed
What you’ll be doing in the role: Accurately counting the contents of containers received balancing cash against customer documentation.
Ensuring Standard and Local Operating Procedures are adhered to at all times
Consolidating and balancing cash as appropriate throughout the process.
Accurately completing the necessary paperwork and/or entries into appropriate cash management systems.
Identifying discrepancies in cash received and escalating this to Senior Cashier.
Use the Viper track and trace system to ensure integrity of container audit trails.
Ensuring all company security procedures are adhered to at all times.
Observing all Health & Safety requirements whilst within the cash/coin centre.
Carrying out any other duties that are deemed reasonable.
Meeting or exceeding expected personal and team productivity levels.
Undertaking training activities as required.
Skill set needed and requirements Able to pass a criminal record check.
Must be able to communicate with customers and colleagues in English.
Must be able to pass a personal credit and ID check.
Prepared to undergo airport style searches.
Ability to follow laid down company procedures/instructions.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Previous cash handling experience.
Flexible and helpful.

Education:
· Grade 12 or equivalent
· Professional Cookery Certificate/ Culinary Diploma is essential
Work experience:
· Previous experience in the same or similar position in a 4/5 star hotel
· Familiar with all duties and procedures in the Kitchen
Other:

Tasks (include but not limited to):

· Have detailed documents on opening and closing procedures of the kitchens
· To contribute and be involved in meetings and daily handovers

· To ensure food is prepared in a timely manor
· Communicate a detailed handover to the COO and Chairman on a daily basis
· Report necessary problems and shortages to the COO and Chairman
· Liaise with group food custodian on all new ideas and suggestions
· Ensure that all HACCP standards are maintained
· Ensure that the kitchen equipment is clean and in working order at all times
· Maintain the tidiness of all store rooms, fridges and freezers
· Make sure that at all times the kitchen is in a hygienic, clean and orderly fashion
· Ensure that the facilities file is up to date and being correctly implemented
· To ensure a minimum wastage of raw and cooked materials
· Keep up to date with current promotions and new products
· Keep staff personal information up to date in their files
· Make sure all Village N Life rules and regulations are implemented at all times throughout the kitchen
· To ensure that all staffing issues are dealt with in the correct manner in coherence with the COO and Chairman
· Maintain correct staffing levels
· Correct disciplinary procedures and actions to be enforced at all times
· Assist the COO and Chairman with administrative work relating to disciplinary problems as needed
· To maintain the status quo in the kitchen environment thus assisting to eliminate uncalled for disciplinary problems
· Supervise the quality of food, work and produce in the kitchen
