The position of Corporate Business Development Executive is a high level front end position responsible for developing, growing and managing the Milpark Education client portfolio sales and revenue. It includes the tendering process for national corporate and government contracts as and when they arise. The primary focus of the position is to initiate and drive new business expansion and therefore all functions and tasks are dedicated to direct sales and revenue generation through client relationship development and management. The position includes and is not limited to developing, initiating and identifying the market Milpark Education. The prime responsibility will be to identify and generate new business prospects and deliver a consistent and sustainable result in generating a sales pipeline.
Responsibilities
Relationships Development and Management
- Fostering relationships with national corporate clients, government clients, SETA’s, industry bodies and associations to understand their requirements and providing input into how to meet those requirements
- Focus primarily on sales and revenue generation from new and existing national corporate and government clients in line with the agreed annual targets.
- Keep abreast of all changes in clients ‘structure and decision making
- Provide input into R&D regarding trends of Milpark’s current programmes and any specific requirements from clients for new programmes
- Develop an annual Business plan for Corporate Business Development
- Develop and document an annual CRM plan (including frequency of client visits and client engagement) per client and report on the plan weekly/ monthly
- Milpark Policies & Procedures are followed at all times
Corporate Tenders
- To identify tender opportunities and to contribute to the process for tendering for national corporate and government tenders across Milpark Education
- To ensure the agreed financial viability for any new tenders that may emerge is obtained
Financial Management and Reporting
- Driving sales and revenue growth and achievement of agreed sales and revenue targets per year
- Ensuring financial viability of all new and existing corporate business
- Reporting on client relationship activity as per the required report format and timelines
- Continual focus on increasing efficiencies and transforming services
Corporate Communication
- Open communication with Academics to stay abreast of new programme offerings for clients and initiatives undertaken by them with industry bodies
- Provide input into the Academic and Commercial team regarding industry trends as well as new education and learning and development requirements that clients have. Communication is open, relevant and prevalent within Milpark
- Colleagues are supported and information is shared between the Milpark senior management team
- Develop sound relations with internal customers and promote trust and confidence towards the Commercial Department

Requirements
Requirements
- A business/marketing related degree
- Minimum of eight8 years’ experience in Strategic Corporate Business Development
- Strong networking capabilities in order to initiate, build and nurture long term relationships with corporate and government clients
- Alignment to the behaviours as defined by Milpark’s Values (see above)
- Financial acumen to quickly assess the cost versus value of new or customised programmes
- An excellent understanding of Milpark’s product and programme requirements
- Ability to work autonomously
