If you are passionate about writing elegant, robust code, then a reputable investment firm wants you as their next full stack developer to help build their next generation of applications. You must ensure that through these applications, exceptional user experience is provided whether via the desktop, tablet, or phone. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in computer science/computer engineering/information science or related technical field, have at least four years’ Dev experience and you must be proficient in object-oriented design. Your tech toolset should also include JavaScript, Python or Ruby and statically typed languages such as Scala, Java, C++ or Golang. You must also have SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Duties: 

• Analyse and design new features.
• Write elegant robust code.
• Write unit, integration, and acceptance tests for all components.
• Write build and deployment automation scripts.
• Improve and optimise the performance of existing systems.
• Troubleshoot and root-cause errors.
• Mentor other developers.
• Deliver features timeously.

Requirements: 

Qualifications –

• Degree in computer science/computer engineering/information science or related technical discipline.

Must have: 

• Object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms are a necessity.

Additional –

• At least four to eight years’ worth of professional development experience.
• Strong software design skills.
• Proficiency in more than one modern programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby and one statically typed language such as Scala, Java, C++, or Golang.
• Database technology such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of one or more modern JavaScript frameworks such as Node.JS, Angular.JS, or React.JS.
• Experience in distributed computing and building enterprise-wide systems.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing.
