We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner in our Loan Operations Department, specifically focusing on the Origination process. The successful incumbent will represent the customer, interfaces and engages the customer. The Product Owner must continuously engage the customer and stakeholders to ensure the Team is building the right product and therefore delivering the ROI expected of it. He/she will assess value, develop cases, and prioritiSe stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
Requirements
Key Performance Areas:
Collaborator: Collaborates across business on all levels to arrive at the vision, goals, priorities and business objectives
Vision, Goals and Measurement (collaborative process): Brings together and takes ownership of the product vision and ensures this is communicated into the team. Negotiates and takes ownership of product goals. Measures the value created by the product over time, especially after deployments. Ensure alignment between business and IT in vision and goals
Manages the Product backlog: Manage and orders the product backlog in order of value, risk or business importance in collaboration / consultation with business owners / stakeholders and the scrum team
Planning and organising: Plan, organise and collaborate to ensure future requirements from other teams are in place for delivery of dependant objectives / goals (While dependencies are a reality in our context)
In the team and in business: Represents the business needs within the Scrum team. Brings the right stakeholders and expertise together as and when needed to collaborate with the team. The PO is a full member of the Scrum team and should be available to the team. The PO also spends time in business to ensure that they are aligned and understand the business direction and needs. Assists the Scrum Master in managing disruption (Operations has a high priority; we need stability to manage this)
Acceptance criteria and release pipeline: Helps define acceptance criteria, ensuring that business is involved in this along with the team. Accepts or rejects the work of the development team before declaring done. Is accountable along with the team for delivery on time and of quality
Decisions: Works with business stakeholders at their need for level of detail and involvement. Decisions are collaborative and the job of the PO is to bring the right people together to get finality on decisions
Qualification:
Three-year tertiary qualification in Information Technology (B.Sc. Information Science or National Diploma/ B Tech Information Technology), Relevant IT degree or Business Administration from recognised institution
Certified Product Owner (CPO)
Experience:
Minimum eight years’ experience in a leadership role, including three years’ previous experience as a Product Owner or Lead Business Analyst
Experience being the Product Owner for a software development team that are diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
Functional competencies:
Solid understanding of the product lifecycle
In-depth understanding of Agile software development methodologies, technical understanding of products, and up-to-date on industry standards and best practices

This position will work closely with the Group VM Styling to ensure that Weylandts stores throughout the country are styled in an inspirational and simulative manner to enhance customer experience and maximise sales turnover. There is an emphasis on conceptual and creative thinking and solutions to showcasing product.
Based within the Head office VM team the role will also work with in store Visual Merchandisers in the different branches. Assisting with planning and styling elements including sourcing props etc. Ensuring stock is correctly merchandised and agreed floor plans and displays implemented through good communication to branches.
Responsibilities include:
Assist the Group VM-Styling to implement the Styling plan throughout the branches in SA. Work closely with the team to assist in the execution and communication of different looks within the lifestyles and furniture & homeware ranges, in line with the Weylandts brand look and feel.
Preparing regular digital presentations/ communication as directed to ensure a high and consistent standard of styling in all branches.
Assist in the planning in the planning of HW stock allocations provided by the purchasing department whilst understanding stock levels and movements.
Ensure ongoing communications to in store VM’s re maintaining/updating of styling elements as new products arrive and others are discontinued.
As part of the team, work on conceptual thinking and planning for seasonal revamps ensuring timeframes set out by national merchandising manager are met and integrations occur smoothly on a national basis.
Assist the VM Styling to carry out monthly store assessments by photo review or visits to ensure required standards are maintained.
Stay up to date with Global styling trends to improve our in-store experience

Have an Interior Décor / Styling / Design qualification with a minimum of two to three years’ work experience in the décor retail / styling / design industry

Good digital presentation skills
Strong administrative and PC skills, excellent product knowledge and a clear understanding of the brand
