Environment:

Be exposed to cutting-edge technology with a dynamic health software provider seeking a highly skilled technical team lead (Java/iOS) to join its team. You will lead a solution delivery team in an Agile environment, responsible for Scrum meetings. You require matric, a computer science/information systems or related field degree/diploma or certificate, experience in a similar role, five+ years’ software development experience, three+ years’ Java and one+ years’ Spring Boot. Any iOS, HL7/FHIR or PilotFish/Mirth will prove beneficial.

Duties:

Produce code – code that meets the functional and technical requirements specification

  • Work closely with the business and architecture to interpret, write, translate and code software programs and applications according to specifications.

Testing code – JIRA defect management

  • Work with Testers – receive and provide feedback on bugs and interact with testing team.
  • Investigate, analyses and document reported defects in JIRA.
  • Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.

Support – provide bug fixing support

  • Provide defect management support as determined by the support roster

Knowledge management – broadened knowledge base, technical documentation

  • Continue professional development.
  • Meet personal development plan requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
  • Assist with the maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
  • Transfer gained system knowledge to peer developers.
  • Mentor junior developers and share techniques with peers.
  • Perform peer code reviews.

System analysis

  • Conversion of specifications and instructions into working code.

Testing

  • Defect Management and resolution.

Architecture

  • Conversions of specifications and instructions into working code.

Developers

  • Communicate updates.
  • Lead the design of software solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Plan, prioritise and allocate team resources against for upcoming work items.
  • Manage, motivate and mentor individual developers to ensure optimum contribution to team output.

Solution deliver manager

  • Communicate team planning and progress.
  • Receive company strategy and operational management.

Requirements:

Qualifications –

  • Senior National Certificate/grade 12.
  • A Degree/Diploma or Certificate in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field.

Experience/skills –

  • Five+ years’ experience in software development.
  • Three+ years’ Java.
  • One+ year of experience as a technical team lead.
  • One+ year Spring Boot expereince.
  • Experience mentoring other developers within a team.
  • Experience with multiple Operating systems (Unix, Linux, macOS and Windows).
  • Experience in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.
  • Knowledge of the SDLC.

Advantageous –

  • One+ year of iOS experience.

Job description

A leading role for a digital account manager – SEO/PPC exists at a renowned digital agency in Pretoria.  

Must have more than five years’ experience.

Join a team of experts in their field. Consisting of writers, designers, PR, social, digital as well as SEO/ PPC specialists. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Keep up to date with paid search advertising trends, techniques and industry related software
  • Implement and manage paid search on Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
  • Conduct detailed competitor research
  • Conduct extensive keyword research, analyse and test keyword performance across multiple channels with multiple campaigns
  • Set-up and run paid search campaigns including writing adverts, bid management, advert placement and ongoing optimisation across various channels
  • Utilise bid management tools and data modelling to maximise the effectiveness of PPC campaigns
  • Monitoring keyword bids and daily/monthly budget caps
  • Reporting on quality scores, impressions, click through rates and other account metrics
  • SEO Keyword research
  • Collaborate with agency team to ensure all activity is complementary, e.g. landing page split testing, tweaking and optimisation to deliver best possible click through and conversion rates
  • Conduct A/B testing to improve; landing pages, ad copy, keywords, bids
  • Optimise campaigns to improve client ROI
  • Monitor campaign results, analyse key metrics, optimise click-through and conversion rates and create and review daily, weekly, monthly reports for clients
  • Build relationships with external representatives from Google, Facebook, etc.
  • Provide recommendations on strategy execution, keyword opportunities, campaign structuring and other facets of paid search in accordance with client goals
  • Participate in client pitches and monthly status meetings

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of SEO principles, Google Adwords, campaign monitoring, creating reports and advising agency team on how to improve the performance of SEO and paid search campaigns. The successful candidate will work on an exciting mix of business-to-business and consumer brands.

Candidate must be results-driven, numerate, analytic, passionate about the internet and live and breathe search.
