Senior Engineer – SCCM (Johannesburg)

Environment:

The expertise of a highly skilled senior engineer: SCCM is sought by a dynamic solutions and systems integration specialist in Joburg. Your core role will be to support and manage the server operating system. You must have grade 12, Microsoft Certification: 70-243 Administering and Deploying System Centre 2012 Configuration Manager, 70-696 Administering System Center Configuration Manager and Intune and MCSE Private Cloud, three years of System Centre Configuration management experience, Packaging and Software deployment using SCCM, Troubleshooting and diagnosing SCCM log files, etc.

Duties:

  • Support the in-scope server operating system, system management software and operating system utilities, including minor upgrades (such as a release upgrade).
  • Manage the operating system configuration including initial server configuration, modifying configuration files, system configuration documentation and access to system configuration files.
  • Proactively monitor and attend to unhealthy operating system\application log events.
  • Manage Operating System\Application Processes to ensure the service is operational and highly available.
  • Recommend operating system\application updates and configuration modification, as required.
  • Apply operating system\Application patches and updates, as required.
  • Maintain tools for remote management and alert monitoring.
  • Maintain and implement operational support procedures, including Service desk training relating to the service.
  • Maintain the hardware and software configuration server information.
  • Evaluate planned changes to the Service and advise of any requirements to support such changes.
  • Adhere to standard security processes and procedures.
  • Take measures to ensure the Service is kept secure.
  • Create and modify system scripts.
  • Provide health check and performance reports.
  • Incident root cause analysis and remediation.

Requirements:

Qualifications –

  • Grade 12.
  • Microsoft Certifications:
  • 70-243 Administering and Deploying System Centre 2012 Configuration Manager
  • 70-696 Administering System Center Configuration Manager and Intune
  • MCSE Private Cloud

Experience/skills –

  • Minimum three years of System Centre Configuration management experience.
  • Experience with Windows Desktop Operating Systems.
  • Deploying, configuring and Maintaining all aspects of SCCM.
  • Assist with OSD Operating System Deployment.
  • Packaging & Software deployment using SCCM.
  • Maintaining client health.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing SCCM log files.
  • Create and Manage Operating System Updates including Security updates using SCCM.
  • Troubleshooting problems using scripts and checklists as guides.
  • SCCM Report generation.
  • Management of security in SCCM.
  • Effectively troubleshoot issues with SCCM infrastructure and managed Desktops.

Operational experience –

  • Document the SCCM environment and relevant changes to systems.
  • Resolve calls logged on the call management system.
  • Be able to effectively ascertain issues and escalate accordingly within reasonable time frames.
  • Be able to work independently with sound troubleshooting skills.

Advantageous –

  • Working knowledge of SQL databases and experience generating SQL queries.
  • Network protocols and standards.
  • Scripting.
  • Intune experience.

A Solutions and Systems Integration Specialist seeks a technically skilled Senior Engineer: Skype for Business to join its Joburg offices. Reporting to the Microsoft Business Group Lead, you will be expected to design and implement Office 365 solutions, support integration points and carry out incident root cause analysis. You require Grade 12 and Microsoft Certifications: 70-333: Deploying Enterprise Voice with Skype for Business 2015 and 70-334: Core Solutions of Microsoft Skype for Business 2015 and at least three years’ Unified Communications experience.

Duties:

  • Recommend and if approved implement changes to maintain agreed upon system performance levels following change management process.
  • Collect, summarise and store performance data (Standard Performance Data Management).
  • Provide Monthly and adhoc Performance\Capacity Reporting.
  • Determine policies for use within Performance tooling; and recommend in customisation and maintenance of standard Performance Management tooling to maximize productivity benefits.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Certifications –

  • Grade 12
  • Microsoft Certifications:
  • 70-333: Deploying Enterprise Voice with Skype for Business 2015.
  • 70-334: Core Solutions of Microsoft Skype for Business 2015.

Experience/Skills –

  • Minimum of three years with Unified Communications experience.
  • Able to obtain and maintain vendor certifications.

A fab and flying agency is on the lookout for a mid-weight, above-the-line Art Director/Copywriter team to join their Cape Town studio. The successful team will get the exciting opportunity to work on a variety of brands including FMCG, Retail, Alcohol, etc. We’re looking for a passionate and driven creative team to take their brands to the next level. Are you the superstars we’re looking for?

Responsibilities

  • Work together to develop an overall concept that communicates to a target audience within the scope of the brand and creative brief supplied
  • Art Director: conceptualise ideas and designs, formulating artwork and storyboards based on the client’s specifications
  • Copywriter: writing top quality scripts, concept statements, long copy, body copy, pay-off lines etc.
  • Develop top quality ATL advertising and promotional campaigns within the parameters of the client brief
  • Craft concepts into original, relevant and impactful communications; follow through to the completion of the job whilst maintaining explicit attention to detail and adhering to project timelines

Requirements
The successful candidates must have/be:

  • Relevant advertising portfolio
  • Four to five years as an Art Director/Copywriter at a reputable Advertising Agency
  • Art Director: Tertiary Qualification in Art Direction, Design, Packaging/Art Theory (or similar)
  • Copywriter: Post-graduate degree or National Diploma (or similar), specialising in Copywriting
  • Conceptual ability and solid design/writing skills with a portfolio that demonstrates this (ideally award winning)
  • Mac proficiency (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Freehand)
  • Integrity, energy and creativity
  • Self-disciplined with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a close-knit team environment
