Remain in regular contact with debtors via telephone, email, etc. to ensure payment of outstanding invoices.
Keep a record of all communication with the customer on Syspro.
Maintain proper records of client accounts and purchasing activities.
Resolve problems for clients, copy invoices, proof of delivery, credit notes, and liaise
Internally to progress any problems that are being handled in any other department.
Allocate payments made by customers to the appropriate invoices according to remittance
Ensure prompt reply to client and internal feedback
Conduct business operations in compliance with standard policies and regulations
Reconcile accounts and do the same for the month end for the whole debtor ledger.
Reconciling cash / COD sales
Forward monthly statements to clients to keep them updated on debt collection activities
Report to management on outstanding issues and inform them early of potential debtor’s
Hand over accounts to legal at the appropriate time
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
Grade 12
Relevant qualification/s will be advantageous
Experience and Skills needed
Previous experience in a similar role
Cashbook experience/knowledge advantageous
Experience working with Credit Insurance houses
Good communication skills
Good mathematical ability
Computer Packages / In house systems
MS Office and Syspro
