Living Green Walls is the leading vertical garden installation company in the Western Cape. We seek to employ an operations and maintenance manager at our Cape Town office.

The operations and maintenance manager will make sure that Living Green Walls current installations and on-going maintenance projects in Cape Town are running as well as it possibly can, with a smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of its clients. This includes ensuring every vertical garden installation reflects the design it was built with and retains a designed quality throughout its existence. They are responsible for managing an installation team that can efficiently and accurately install each vertical garden to precision. They are also responsible for the maintenance team and must ensure that they complete all vertical garden maintenance with accuracy and care. Logistics and effective scheduling will also be key.

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementation and oversight of all aspects of vertical garden installation
• Management of maintenance tools, equipment, plants and fertilisers to ensure stock is controlled and eliminate shrinkage
• Management of weekly maintenance team and maintenance sites to ensure effective care of all projects
• Horticultural oversight – plant care, pruning, plant species management and pest control
• Operations and logistics

Requirements

• Qualified studies in horticulture essential (copy of qualification required)
• A minimum two years of experience in landscaping, design, or project management
• Driver’s license
• Logical and efficient with the ability to plan ahead
• Strong leadership and communication skills

You will function within both the support and project environment while working closely with other stakeholders to ensure that analytical applications capitalise on all available data, enabling users to make sound decisions while boosting business. The ideal candidate must have a three-year IT degree/diploma, data warehouse and BI solution training, at leastthee years of business analysis work experience (Full BI SDLC), OLTP/OLAP Systems knowledge, BI application Designs and MS SQL Stack.

Duties:

Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

BI Projects –

• Conduct and facilitate workshops with business and product owners to gather detailed user requirements.
• Understand and analyse requirements by profiling data.
• Identify options for potential solutions and produce a conceptual model and present to relevant parties.
• Translate business requirements into BI requirements specifications for developers.
• Manage the development and implementation of approved solutions.
• Work closely with Product Owners and business users to prioritise business, information and analytical requirements. Continuously ensure that tasks and projects are completed within agreed deadlines and that any rework is limited Improve BI process efficiencies.
• Monitor and improve the efficiency of BI processes, as well as the collecting and interpreting of data about existing processes.
• Continuously keep up to date with technical as well as industry sector developments and investigate alternative business solutions Organisational support.
• Responsible for the compilation and distribution of status reports to relevant parties.
• Promote analytics usage and skills amongst users of BI Systems.

Requirements:

Qualifications –

• Relevant three years IT degree/diploma.
• Data warehouse and BI solution training is essential.

Experience/skills –

• Minimum of three years’ business analysis experience, full Business Intelligence SDLC.
• Experience managing senior stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of OLTP/OLAP systems, Dimensional Modelling, business rule transformations and data analysis.
• Conventional and data warehouse modelling skills are required, in order to understand the various data models and to define the mappings between them.
• Experience with BI application designs, architectures, and building BI and data visualisations for analytic solutions. (MS-SQL Stack).
• System analysis and design skills are necessary to design and document the data extractions and transformations.
• Experience in working within in an Agile project environment .

Advantageous –
