Duties and responsibilities (key delivery areas):
- Develop new business
- Customer relationship management
- Closing of deals and meeting of targets
- Admin related to the sales process
- Sound digital sales experience (advantageous)
Qualifications and experience:
- Matric
- Mature candidate (28 years+) with a minimum of five years’ sales experience
- Minimum five years’ experience in media sales
- Proven track record of outstanding results
- Very good computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Skills and competencies (role requirements):
- Well-spoken with excellent telephone skills
- Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills
- Exceptional time management, organisational skills
- Valid SA drivers licence
- Own transport and cell phone
- Uncompromising standards of excellence
- Courteous and well groomed
Offer:
- A CTC of between R18,000-R25,000 per month that includes Medical Aid, retirement contribution and travel and cellphone allowances. The basic is negotiable up to 10% above current earnings and a proven track record.
- This position also includes excellent monthly, quarterly and annual commissions of R200k plus per annum above the basic. Annual earnings are not capped.

- Experience with Spring and Hibernate is desirable.

- Practical experience of software engineering methodologies.
- Participated in full project life cycles with a demonstrated knowledge of analysis and design for software solutions.
Knowledge:
- Excellent understanding of core java, Servlet/JSP, XML, JSON, JDBC, JSTL, JSR portlets.
- Good understanding of networking, internet protocols and LDAP.
- Demonstrates knowledge of multi-threading, data structures, OOD, design patterns and web services.
- Knowledge of unit testing techniques.
- Knowledge of REST API standards.
- Knowledge of Spring framework would be an advantage but not essential.
- Knowledge of technical features that impact online performance – such as bandwidth, page size, individual component size, etc.
- Advanced computer literacy essential.

A dynamic and unique software development company based in Cape Town requires an Android developer to join their team. Candidates must have a solid understanding of Android and Java, one+ years’ experience with native Android and two years Java development experience.
Duties:
- Develop native Android applications written in Java.
- Ensure all UI / UX adheres to Android guidelines.
- Work alongside a great, approachable team, developing projects from concept to a deployed product.
- Collaborate with our Designers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers and Back-End Developers to implement application specifications.
- Your focus will be writing quality software using standard objected-orientated and functional development principles.
- Be part of the Gerrit code review process.
- Apply best coding practices and techniques.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends surrounding Android and mobile tech.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of Android and Java.
- One+ years of experience with native Android.
- Two+ years’ experience of Java development (years and qualifications do not equate to seniority; ability and experience does)
- Basic understanding of Git and/or SCM.
- A good understanding of Android’s design principles and guidelines.
- Ability to write testable code and unit tests.
- Strong focus on building reusable code and libraries.
- Attention to UI/UX and logically adhering as much as possible to the designs.
- A firm grasp of the software development lifecycle.
- A solid foundation of software design principles.
- Ability to fit into a relaxed yet professional environment.
Advantageous
- Experience with technologies such as RxJava, Dagger2, Espresso and Firebase.
- Experience building mobile banking and payment apps.
- Good understanding and awareness regarding mobile app security.
- Experience with Jenkins or CI.
- Experience with crash reporting and analytics frameworks.
- Experience in the full lifecycle of an app, from design stage, to release and support.
- Understanding of agile methodologies.
- A good sense of responsibility with a desire to improvise and discover more efficient solutions.
- Experience setting up and maintaining applications on the Play Store.
