Job purpose: The chief technology officer is responsible for the effective delivery of the CCI technology strategy across multiple geographies. The CTO is a strategic but operationally focused role, leading a team to ensure the delivery of high quality and cost-effective technology solutions to support the business.

The role includes directing all IT operations to meet customer requirements, the support and maintenance of existing infrastructure and applications, ensuring appropriate IT security and governance as well as the development of new technical solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Advise the CEO and the leadership team on technology decisions in support of business goals
• Responsible for the development and deployment of an IT strategy and governance model to enable CCI Business strategy
• Responsible to develop strategic plans and implement the objectives of the information technology needs of the company, to ensure that the computer capabilities are responsive
• Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages
• Lead the assessment of new computing technologies to determine the potential value for the company.
• Responsible for the development, review, and certification of all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans
• Responsible for IT support to ensure in time, and high-quality services to the business.
• Serves on planning and policy-making committees
• Oversees the process with outside vendors in the generation of RFPs, bids, contracts, agreements, and other major vendor interactions
• Ensures security and privacy of information systems, communication lines, and equipment.

Experience:

• Minimum of a four-year degree from an accredited college or university in computer sciences, business administration, public administration, mathematics or related field
• A Minimum of ten years’ experience in a senior-level information technology position, preferably Board reporting
• Experience with the implementation of information technology integrations in a large company
• Strong project management experience
• Experience in managing complex IT strategies
