Our client based in Western Cape is looking for a Civil Team Leader to co-ordinate the team, and is required to be involved and supportive of any day-to-day decisions. Communicating, assigning team tasks, recognizing, addressing and resolving Issues/problems among / between team members. Maintaining work standards and outlining behavioral expectations to ensure team morale and productivity
Education and Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- 3 years Telecommunications civil work experience and knowledge
- Knowledge and understanding of the telecommunications industry
- Knowledge and understanding the requirements of the OHSA, as well as Construction Health & Safety Regulations
- Technical knowledge of telecommunications networks
- Must be computer literate

Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Adhere to set project budget
- Abide by the set time scales
- Adhere to Company policies and departmental procedures
- Ensure all Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to at all times
- Compile Health and Safety documentation as per site requirement
- Undertake regular Health and Safety and Quality checks on site every 48 hours and record findings in the site diary
- Quality Control
- Accountable for ensuring that the completed work meets quality standards: –
- This Includes: – On-site assessment prior to commencing work to ensure that the job is ready, and addressing any concerns
- Overseeing the execution of the work, including quality and production, ensuring that the team works to job specifications and follows the plans.
- Inspecting and measuring completed work
- Administration: –
- Accountable for the preparation of reports.
- This includes: – Maintaining site foreman’s log and site reports
- Preparation of daily production records
- Reporting on work progress
- Daily time keeping & reporting
- Worker violation reports
- Recommending personnel actions such as hiring, releasing, promotions and discipline
- Maintain professional and product knowledge
- Develop own competencies required for daily functions
- Keeping up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to your job
- Client and vendor management
- Professional communication to our client and contractor base
- Providing professional client services
- Liaise with sub-contractor throughout the project and collect necessary documentation
