Role description

The purpose of the commercial underwriter position is to provide superior service to internal and external clients by adhering to underwriting procedures and turnaround times in order to retain existing clients and attracting new business for the organisation.

• Support and work with the account executives to meet client needs with regards to the following processes
• • General policy enquiries and advice
  • New business

  • Broker appointments
  • Endorsements
  • Cancellations
  • Marketing support

Role requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• FAIS compliant
• Minimum of one to two years’ experience as a short term insurance commercial underwriter
• Minimum of one to two years’ experience in a brokerage
• Excellent client services skills
• Change resilient
• Teamwork

Remuneration – market-related based on experience
