Our client, a privately-held renewable bio-resource company, established 65 years ago, has a newly-created position to fill, titled communications and marketing executive, reporting to the group corporate communications manager.

If you have a degree in PR, journalism or corporate communications and have at least four to six years’ experience at this level in communication departments of blue-chip companies, you could be the candidate our client is looking for.

Experience in FMCG and/or retail is essential, and it would be advantageous if speaking a foreign language such as Spanish, French or Portuguese is part of your repertoire.

In addition, they require someone who is able to travel locally extensively, and international travel is also an integral part of the position.

Requirements

• A degree in PR, journalism or corporate communications
• At least four to six years’ experience in corporate communications, incorporating marketing
• Assist the group communications manager planning and executing all internal and external communications activities for the group
• Develop and manage digital and social media campaigns
• Graphic design experience working on FMCG or retail a decided advantage
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail
• Excellent writing skills with editing experience
• FMCG and/or retail experience
• Must be able to travel, on occasions outside of South Africa
