Job description
Community Media Trust (CMT), a national NGO that focuses on empowering individuals and communities to take part in managing and improving their health through media and outreach programmes wishes to appoint one suitably qualified/experienced community liaison officer.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Attend the relevant community meetings and structures in order to ensure that the community is kept abreast of activities;
- Assist in finding venues and contractors when required;
- Work closely with the Project Coordinator and the team to fulfil the project goals;
- Represent CMT at local structures or ensure that someone does;
- Gain and support community entry;
- Assist with recruitment for programmes;
- Conduct community mobilisation when necessary;
- Supporting facilitators during sessions;
- Host, organise and attend meetings with stakeholders;

Requirements
- Matric (or equivalent) + a certificate in the field HIV/AIDS, or any related fields required
- Minimum of one year work experience engaging with communities is essential
- Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, TB, other related health issues and/or community work required
- An understanding of local culture
- Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Valid driver’s licence
