Specialist in the payments services sector seeks senior Java developer with container applications experience to design and build solutions on an enterprise scale. This business is responsible for the largest and most successful Payments system in SA; they build and operate massive, secure payment portals processing thousands of transactions and billions of Rand on a daily basis.

You will be involved in innovation, design and integration of secure, transactional payment portals.

Requirements

• Relevant IT Degree (Computer Science or related field) or related experience 
• Minimum five years of JEE experience or related Object Orientated Programming in Java 
• Experience in designing and exposing re-useable Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) based solutions 
• Adobe enterprise experience will be advantageous
• J2EE, MDB, Web Services
• Websphere, JBoss, Glassfish, WebLogic 
• IDE – Eclipse and JDeveloper
• XSD design and JAXB
• Databases MS(SQL, DB2 and Oracle) Good SQL knowledge 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to build projects and be capable of developing relationships with customers and testing teams as required
• Support production deployments and production maintenance
• Responsible for code review and quality control 
• Be able to design and manage the development of components, sub-routines and other application elements 
• Be capable of translating functional specifications into workable project deliverables and staging these according to team capability and capacity
• Experience with development of payment/financial systems
• Work well under pressure and motivate others on the team 
• Be flexible with longer working hours

Reference number for this position is GZ40548 which is a permanent position based in Fourways offering a cost to company salary of R1,2m PA negotiable on experience and ability.
