An innovative financial services company in Cape Town invites a corporate finance analyst to join their team. Your core responsibilities will include taking ownership for key strategic initiatives modelling aligned with external stakeholder requirements. Duties:

Financial modelling/business plans for strategic initiatives:

• Perform the strategic initiatives financial modelling / business case activities including formulation of methodology and timeline management.
• Ensure the financial models / business cases are prepared in line with External Shareholder strategy / requirements and are financially accurate.
• Responsible for the collation of information from various sources to prepare business plans for management and executive review.
• Review models and provide insights into adjustments or additional information required for finalisation.
• Evaluate new business initiatives from a finance, strategic and business perspective.
• Prepare overview slides to present the financial model / business plan to management and members of the executive board.

Develop financial models to support decision-making on existing and potential products:

• Analysis of existing and potential business performance.
• Financial and strategic guidance on enhancement implementation.
• Due Diligence Assistance – Assist with due diligence processes for proposed strategic acquisitions.
• Investment Committee Process – Assist with the internal and external investment committee process for strategic initiatives approval.
• Provide support to the corporate finance manager & ad hoc projects – Deliver on ad hoc projects / requests from the corporate finance manager.

Requirements:

• Newly qualified CA (SA) or relevant financial qualification.
• Minimum two to three years’ relevant Finance and Budgeting/Model experience.
• Proven analytical skills – ability to analyse large volumes of data.
• Advanced MS Excel.

Advantageous:

• Exposure to Dynamics and Excel Insights Reporting Tool.
• Experience in the Retail and/ or Financial Services industry.
