Job description

The position requires creativity, attention to detail in layout, a passion for design as well as knowledge and understanding of design principles across various mediums – specifically related to point of purchase displays and campaigns. 3D & web design skills are highly advantageous.

You must be a good all-rounder and have an ability to work on PC or Mac. Strong knowledge of the printing process will be advantageous. You will be responsible for all aspects of a project from concept to delivery to client.

Requirements

A design diploma or degree and at least three years’ work experience in the field. You must be able to show your ability to design across a range of mediums, layout skill, idea generation, and attention to detail.

Must be able to work well under pressure and work late to meet deadlines. Ability to work on last minute jobs.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop)
• Proficient in Freehand
• Develop new, innovative and appealing designs for packaging and POP displays
• Develop designs to enhance customer products, improve margins, and reduce packaging costs
• Receive new design requests directly from customers, sales partners, customer service reps, and gather key specification data
• Translate requirements and specification data to conceptualize and create packaging that meets customer’s needs and expectations
• Good communication skills – ability to communicate across multiple departments
• Quality control – follow through and follow up of jobs
• Customer service – ability to speak and direct client at a moment’s notice
• Host & be a part of production/ design meetings
• Creative problem solver
• Use internal systems to communicate across different platforms
