Job description
Client Description
The Client is large FMCG and Wholesale Company.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Remain in regular contact with debtors via telephone, email, etc. to ensure payment of outstanding invoices.
- Keep a record of all communication with the customer on Syspro.
- Maintain proper records of client accounts and purchasing activities.
- Resolve problems for clients, copy invoices, proof of delivery, credit notes, and liaise
- Internally to progress any problems that are being handled in any other department.
- Allocate payments made by customers to the appropriate invoices according to remittance
- Ensure prompt reply to client and internal feedback
- Conduct business operations in compliance with standard policies and regulations
- Reconcile accounts and do the same for the month end for the whole debtor ledger.
- Reconciling cash / COD sales
- Forward monthly statements to clients to keep them updated on debt collection activities
- Report to management on outstanding issues and inform them early of potential debtor’s
- Hand over accounts to legal at the appropriate time
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
- Grade 12
- Relevant qualification/s will be advantageous
Experience and Skills needed
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Cashbook experience/knowledge advantageous
- Experience working with Credit Insurance houses
- Good communication skills
- Good mathematical ability
Computer Packages / In house systems
- MS Office and Syspro

- Ability to work under pressure and with high volumes of accounts
