Environment:

A dynamic e-commerce company seeks a highly talented customer insights analyst to join its team. Your core role will be producing automated reporting and analytical solutions to support business operations and strategy. The successful candidate should possess a Degree in the fields of Maths or Statistics, be proficient in advanced Excel and SQL writing. Any experience with Stats packages such as SPSS/SAS/R and Big Data Reporting packages PowerBI/QlikView/Tableau will prove highly beneficial. Please note this is an Employment Equity position.

Duties:

Strategic analysis and reporting –

• Setup and generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for ops areas.
• Setup measures and track strategic initiatives.
• Run ad-hoc in-depth analysis across different data sources.
• Track and review performance of all areas to ensure targets are met.
• Understand the business process in order to create a new analysis that will highlight areas for improvement.
• Develop analytics to review resource planning and discover opportunities to increase efficiency.
• Develop analytical models to drive sales opportunities within the customer base and contact strategies.

Project management and supporting operational areas –

• Take the lead on assigned or self-initiated projects for the ops area from inception to execution.
• Serve as a soundboard for operations managers relating to challenges and solutions for their specific areas.

Requirements:

Qualifications –

• Mathematics or statistics-related Degree.

Experience/skills –

• Minimum five years’ experience in analysing data.
• Advanced Excel.
• SQL query writing.
• Experience in Statistical packages: SPSS/SAS/R.
• Experience in Big Data Reporting packages including PowerBI/Qlikview/Tableau.
