Job description

We are looking to recruit a full-time database developer with strong SQL skills & experience to take responsibility for the design, development, data warehousing and testing of data applications. QlikSense development experience advantageous.  

Overall job purpose:

Core role is to take responsibility for the design, development and testing of data applications, defining requirements and design applications, scoping and project managing development projects and supporting and guiding a team of analysts / QlikSense designers in their development of front-end views.

Principal job responsibilities:

• Design, development, warehousing and testing of data application
• Development of data quality definitions and applications
• Assist with performance and tuning of data applications
• Participate in driving workshops to define requirements and design applications 
• Manage requirements and scope of development projects
• Support the team of analysts/QlikView designers by providing knowledge and guidance in their development of front-end views
• Take responsibility for turning data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.
• Provide interpretation of data and the analysis of results using statistical techniques
• Conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design.
• Develop analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
• Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases

Requirements

Requirements, experience and education:

• Three to five years of SQL or NoSQl experience including design, development, installation/configuration, data management, administration and support
• Bachelors degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or relational functional field) advantageous
• QlikSense development experience an advantage 
• Strong SQL skills and experience
